The workout plan I gave you at the end of the season would be a good place to start. The weather's been great for running lately. Do you need a copy of it?
Posted by Gianna on February 4, 2012
Coach MArtin/Miller, I need to get in shape for Track. what shoud i do?
Posted by Gianna on February 4, 2012
Dear me, seventh grade, it's not required to be on the cross country team to be on the track team, they are two completely different sports. Track starts March 12, good luck! :)
Posted by me, seventh grader on February 4, 2012
what if i wasn't on the xc team but is thinking about joining track??
Posted by Anonymous on February 4, 2012

hello everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by me, seventh grader on February 2, 2012
Thanks (the 4 people who responded to my question) ill think of all of those possibilities
Posted by me an eigth grader on February 2, 2012
i tried both last year but my coach was kind of mean and judged you so i prefered doing my track meets and he just thought running was stupid and he knew i loved it and stuff so that was my opinion. i mean i liked softball but my coach gave me a new perspective. i still do like it but track is my thng so yeah. and also. i had that problem where if you ahve a game and a meet, you could do some early events and go to the game after. i did that sometimes. it just depends what you want to do cause i didnt always like doing only early events i also liked the relays and yeah sorry for writing so much hahahhahaha i couldnt stop!!!!!!
Posted by Anonymous on February 2, 2012
homework... haha jk :)
Posted by Anonymous on February 2, 2012
im bored. what should i do????
Posted by me, seventh grader on February 2, 2012
thanks!!
Posted by Coach Martin on February 2, 2012
We have had athletes do both track and baseball in the past. Track practice ends around 4:15, which still gives you enough time to get to baseball practice at night. If you do decide to do both, I would say that a track meet would trump a baseball practice and a baseball game would trump a track practice. If you happen to have both a track meet and a baseball game on the same day the track coaches are usually willing to work something out with you as long as you give them a few days notice. At this age, it's important to try out as many sports as you can. Who knows, maybe you'll join track and find out that you prefer it more than baseball...or you'll find out that track isn't for you. At least you'll know for sure and won't be left wondering "what if" for the rest of your life.
